At $10 per user per month, a team of ten is $1200 a year before a single add-on. Price the team you will have in a year, not the one you have today.
Which roles have to pay
Many plans charge full price for people who only need to read or approve. If light users need a seat, the real cost is the headline price times everyone, not times the core team.
Whether you can get your data out
Ask what a full export contains and in what format. An export that drops attachments, comments or history is not an export — it is a reason you will not leave.
What the move itself costs
Migration, retraining and the weeks of lower output are the real switching cost. Count them once when you adopt, because you pay them again if you change your mind.
