Corrections
How we fix what we get wrong
Prices change, vendors rename plans, and research misses things. This is what happens when something on this site is wrong.

Report an error
Every product page carries a Report an error link. It reaches the desk that maintains the page, and nothing about it is automated — a person reads it.
What we correct
- Incorrect prices. The most common error, and the one we treat most seriously, because the cost analysis on a page is built on it. A corrected price changes the cost table, the calculator and the benchmarks that include it.
- Plans that do not exist.Where research finds a plan we list is not on the vendor’s pricing page, it is removed from the page rather than left to look current.
- Outdated information — features, limits or terms that have since changed.
- Broken or wrong sources — a link that no longer resolves, or does not support the claim made.
- Calculation errors in any cost figure we publish.
How a correction is handled
- We check the claim against the vendor’s own published page before changing anything.
- If the report is right, the page is corrected and the date under Sources & verification is updated so readers can see when it last changed.
- If the report is wrong, we leave the page as it is; if you gave an email, we say why.
- Where a correction changes a figure materially — a price, a score, a verdict — the change is noted on the page rather than made silently.
What we do not do
- We do not remove criticism because a vendor asks. Vendors are welcome to submit corrections of fact, and those are checked like any other report.
- We do not change a score, a ranking or a verdict in exchange for anything. See the affiliate disclosure for how the site is funded.
Systematic checks
Beyond reports, pricing is re-checked against vendor pages on a rolling basis, and each product page shows when its pricing was last read from the vendor’s site. Pages whose pricing is overdue for a check appear in an internal queue rather than waiting for someone to notice. Our methodology explains what the research can and cannot establish.
